UC Application is Due Tonight!

Remember the deadline for the UC Application is TONIGHT at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

If you have not yet submitted the application, make sure you give yourself at least 15 minutes to go through the submission process. You have to click through a series of screens (7 steps; 11 screens total) to provide residency information, give UCs release authorizations, enter payment information or apply for a fee waiver, and answer federally mandated questions. For transfer students, if you have a gap between high school graduation and community college enrollment, you will get a screen asking for an explanation.

There is an automatic extension built into the application server so that if you started your application before November 30, you have until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on December 1 to submit it to be considered “on time.” Do NOT abuse this extension; it is meant to handle emergencies and unexpected situations (for example, a power outage or, true story, passing out from fatigue).

Are you just scrambling to complete your UC Application now? Find a list of everything you need to help you reach the finish line here.

If you were affected by one of several devastating natural disasters from earlier months, you may request a 15-day application deadline extension by following the instructions here.

Good luck everyone!

By the way, if you already submitted your application and have follow-up questions, hold off until next week to contact me. I will also post something later this week that should address most of the post-submission questions. Stay tuned!

That information is optional and does not affect how you are evaluated for admission.
