Didn’t plan out your summer? Your original summer plan fell through due to the pandemic? Check out the following resources to help you whip up an impressive summer filled with activities.

High School Students

Collegewise has put together a long list of virtual summer opportunities (including volunteering, research, activism, and programs in a variety of subjects) and 120 ideas for self-initiated summer activities during the pandemic.

Virtual Summer Camps by Varsity Tutors
A variety of programs (some free and some require a small fee) on a variety of topics (including art, language, social sciences, and STEM) are available (searchable by grade level). Find program and registration information here.

Transfer Students

Participate in UC transfer programs, find internships, or help out in your community through volunteering! There are online and virtual options available!

Summer Innovation Academy: The Inclusive Autonomous Vehicle Design Challenge sponsored in part by University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Open to college students of all levels and academic disciplines. Application deadline is Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 11:59 PM. Program runs between July 13, 2020 and August 7, 2020. Find complete program description here (eligibility requirement is stated on the application form here).
