Freshman Nursing Waitlist Clarification (UCI & UCLA)

I heard some confused chatter about the nursing program waitlist at UCI and UCLA so I went digging for information. Here’s what I found:

Irvine

UCI Nursing didn’t keep a waitlist in the past and that remains the case now. If you were offered waitlist option, that is for the UCI campus, not for the nursing major. If you are admitted off the waitlist, you may re-apply for the nursing program in November.

UCLA

UCLA Nursing kept a ranked waitlist for the nursing applicants who were not initially accepted and that remains the case now. You would opt in onto the waitlist using the same form as the non-nursing applicants, but your waitlist statement does NOT affect your rank on the nursing waitlist.
