Colleges That Are Still Accepting Applications (NACAC Fall 2022 College Openings Update)

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) announced earlier this month (April 11, 2022) the release of its annual College Openings Update: Options for Qualified Students. This is “a voluntary listing of NACAC member postsecondary institutions that are still accepting applications from prospective freshman and/or transfer students for the upcoming fall term” (Fall 2022). The current list covers 200+ public and private institutions that are in the U.S. and abroad, and will be continually updated and remain on NACAC’s website through the end of July (a major update will occur in early May when additional colleges are expected to join the list).

Is “If attending UC San Diego remains a goal for you, please consider applying as a transfer student after you have successfully completed the admission requirements for transfers at a community college or another university. Every year, transfer students represent approximately 33% of our incoming class. Please visit our website for more information. We appreciate your continued interest in UC San Diego and wish you the best in the pursuit of your educational goals.” meaning I got rejected from the waitlist? Just saw the application status update today when I logged into the portal.
