Freshman Applicants

Reporting Schedule Changes and Non-Passing Grades

Follow the instructions provided here (on page 1, in the column titled “Failure to meet conditions/provisions: What to do next”) to report schedule changes and/or non-passing senior year grades received (recorded on official transcript). You may also use the same method to report corrections for previous coursework and grades.

Declining UC Admission Offers

You have the option to decline the admission offer or simply not respond (your admission offer will expire after the SIR deadline of May 15, 2024). Either is fine (you are not required to decline offers you don’t expect to accept).

What’s your take on UCSB Statistics and Data science in BA VS BS for a transfer student. Are they both equally qualified. If a student picks BA does this school let you transfer to BS?

UCSB Department of Statistics and Applied Probability has an explanation of each program (BA and BS), as well as Change of Major Policy, that you should review.
