UC Transfer Academic Update Priority Deadline is on Wednesday (1/31)!
Remember that the priority deadline for the Transfer Academic Update is on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Final grades for Fall 2023 submitted by the deadline will be calculated into your GPA for transfer admission evaluation. You may continue to update your grades, in-progress courses, and/or planned courses through the Transfer Academic Update until the end of March, but the UCs do not guarantee consideration for grades or changes submitted after the priority deadline.
Please note that only UC-transferable course grades up to and including FALL 2023 will be used to calculate the GPA for admission evaluation; any Winter 2024 intersession or Spring 2024 short-term courses, even if the grades become available by January 31, 2024, will NOT be included in the GPA used for admission evaluation (although I recommend updating/including them, especially if they are for your major prerequisite requirements and/or can help boost your academic profile). To complete the Transfer Academic Update, simply log back into your UC Application.
Berkeley requires a separate update which can be accessed through MAP@Berkeley. Berkeley transfer applicants MUST complete BOTH the UC Transfer Academic Update and the MAP@Berkeley update in order to be considered for admission.
Keep in mind that some UC campuses may hold you accountable for planned summer courses (and cancel your admission offer when you don’t come through). Do NOT put down Summer 2024 courses unless you know for sure that: 1) the courses will actually be offered, and 2) you are fully committed to completing the courses.

The TAU priority deadline was due at 11:59 pm PST on Jan 31st, correct?
The deadline has passed but the TAU will remain open until the end of March and you can continue to update your Winter grades and/or Spring schedule.
Hi Ms. Sun, are any additional TAUs submitted after Jan 31st and before Mar 31st looked at? Or is it just best to email each UC campus any coursework or grade changes past Jan 31st based on their particular policy?
Updates/changes to coursework (schedule) and grades before the end of March should be submitted through TAU. Updates/changes to coursework (schedule) and grades after the end of March should be submitted to each UC campus.
Hi Ms. Sun, I just got back my winter quarter grades, and I want them to be seen in my application. Is there any way I could email or attach them after the TAU deadline?
Some UCs may have a grade update form in the portal you can use to submit grades. You have to log in to look for it.
