Three UCs Open for Winter/Spring 2025 (Freshman & Transfer)
Students planning to apply for Fall 2025 should NOT start their UC Application in July. The current application cycle is for Winter/Spring 2025 and only open for the three UCs listed below.
Merced is open for freshman, sophomore transfer, and junior transfer applicants for Spring 2025. Riverside is open for sophomore transfer and junior transfer applicants for Winter 2025. Santa Cruz is open for sophomore and junior transfer applicants for Winter 2025. All other UC campuses are closed for Winter/Spring 2025. The UC Application is open now and the deadline is July 31, 2024.
Not all majors are open for Winter/Spring 2025 at Merced, Riverside, and Santa Cruz. You can find which majors are open for the three campuses on the Check majors page. You can also just start the application for Winter/Spring 2025 and pick the campuses you want, then look in the “Campuses & majors” section, under “Choose majors” to see which majors are open for the campuses you selected.
