UCs Open for Winter/Spring 2018 (Freshman & Transfer)

From the UC Counselors and Advisers Bulletin – July 2017 Special Edition, received on June 30, 2017 (bold added for emphasis, special note from me added in italics):

Three UC campuses will accept undergraduate admission applications for the winter/spring 2018 term beginning on July 1, 2017.

UC Riverside is open to sophomore/junior/senior transfers and UC Santa Cruz is open to junior transfer applicants for the winter quarter which begins in early January 2018.

In addition, UC Merced is open to first-time freshmen and sophomore/junior transfer applicants for the spring semester which begins in late January 2018.

For the list of majors closed to applicants go here. [Note from Ms. Sun: the list is a bit counterintuitive; the majors listed are the ones that are closed and not available to you, that means the majors that are NOT listed are open.] The admission application is available online. [Note from Ms. Sun: the option to start a new application is not yet available, wait until tomorrow (July 1, 2017). But if you don’t already have an applicant account, you may want to set one up today and fill in all of the personal information.]

The application filing period is July 1-31, 2017. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday, July 31st.

Any more information on this and do you know when results will be posted?

There is zero information on the UC website about the Winter/Spring application cycle (although, according to this, UCR seems to have released decisions). Contact the admissions office of the UC campus where you applied if you have not received a decision or update.
