Whether this is your first time visiting my website or your are a frequent visitor, please review the information below regarding how to access password-protected content.
I had a run-in with the UCOP in November 2015 (prior to this incident, the UCs have came after me multiple times; see my origin story for my colorful history with the system) and, after consulting with my attorney and my business coach, I decided to implement the following access restrictions to minimize future incursions by the UCs.
Public Blog Posts
Blog posts where I am only conveying facts, such as test registration deadlines or information from the UC Counselors and Advisers Bulletin, will be open to the public (no access restrictions).
Password-Protected Blog Posts
Blog posts where I am making general recommendations and suggestions, such as how to handle technical glitches in the UC application or how to respond to supplemental questionnaire questions, will be password-protected. If you “Subscribe to Blog via Email” (from a computer, look in the right column for it; from a smartphone or tablet device, scroll past the bottom of this post to find it), you will receive instructions on how to access the password-protected content (please keep the instructions for future reference!). A current list of password-protected posts is here.
Remember to hold onto the password for future reference. Sometimes your browser cache may expire or purge (or I may purge the cache on my end to refresh the content on my website), and you will need to enter the password again to access the password-protected posts. Depending on how long ago you received the password, you may need to make sure you don’t accidentally copy the “space” after the password (that extra “space,” when pasted along with the password into the password field, will make the password incorrect). If you received the password recently (it would be in “quotes”), then just make sure you exclude the quotation marks when copying the password.
