Whether this is your first time visiting my website or your are a frequent visitor, please review this post regarding the blog update issues.
I had a run-in with the UCOP in November (prior to this incident, the UCs have came after me multiple times; see my origin story for my colorful history with the system) and that is why my blog updates have been sporadic.
I am trying to work out a solution to prevent future incursions by the UCs. Based on my conversations with my attorney and my business coach, it looks like the easiest way to solve my problem is to put my content behind a paid subscription (you pay for my opinions). I will need to figure out if this is the best solution (it’s easy, but not ideal), how I can accommodate students who are unable to pay, and how to actually implement it.
Until then, fresh content posted to my blog will be password protected. You must “Subscribe to Blog via Email” (from a computer, look in the right column for it; from a smartphone or tablet device, scroll past the bottom of this post to find it) to gain access. If you signed up prior to December 3, 2015, you should have received an email on December 3, 2015 providing instructions on how to access the password-protected content. If you sign up after that date, look for a subscription confirmation email that includes the instructions for how to access the password-protected content.
I am still updating the rest of my website. If you are a current applicant, you can find most of the information you need by looking at either the Freshman Application Timeline or the Transfer Application Timeline. If you are looking for information on preparing for college, start at either Freshman Admission Overview or Transfer Admission Overview for a quick orientation on how to locate the information you need on my website.
